An exceptional point from Tom Whitby’s blog

“The biggest problem with technology is the pace at which it evolves. It moves faster than folks can catch up to it. Because of that, it becomes a burden on educators to learn what they need to know in order to teach skills in an environment close to what kids will be expected to live in. Many educators are running as fast as they can to catch up, but too many others are reluctant.”

  1. Tech fatigue is rampant. So many levels of willingness, ability, understanding. My first impulse is to slow down, take inventory, boil it to the core – what do we most need to know and do, and what do we most have in common?

  2. That is good advice, Thatcher. For me it is the creative aspect of’ “How can I use this tool to effectively communicate ideas to others?”. If I start there and let my imagination wander I find that my AHA moments re-energize me.
